HGA is seeking a dynamic Senior Marketing Manager to guide the national marketing strategy for our Workplace, Government, and Community practices. This is a high‑impact role for someone who wants to influence brand direction, elevate market presence, and lead a talented team within one of the nation’s most respected architecture and engineering firms.

 

Highlighted key responsibilities:

 

  • Develops and implements annual marketing strategy and plans to achieve national sector business goals and align with overall firm goals.
  • Monitors industry trends, competitor positioning, and client needs to inform marketing strategy and storytelling.
  • Under the umbrella of the overall HGA brand, establishes the national sector brand message framework which distinguishes us from our competition and addresses client needs.
  • With the support of and collaboration with national marketing & communications colleagues, oversee a wide range of marketing activities including branding, collateral development, communications, sponsorships, client events, digital marketing campaigns, awards, photography/video, and more. 
  • Manages sector-related marketing budgets and ensures ROI on key initiatives.
  • Guides principals and business developers in creating and executing individual marketing plans, including setting goals, identifying targets, and tracking metrics.
  • Manage a team of sector marketing coordinators, providing leadership, driving excellence and oversight on pursuit efforts and business development support.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all sector marketing activities, driving visibility and engagement with key clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing or business development, with at least 3 years focused on the architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) or other professional service industry.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Deltek Vantagepoint).
  • Working knowledge of: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat/Reader, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
  • Marketing generalist with exposure to and experience with a wide range of marketing activities.
  • Strong understanding of the strategy, process, and messaging for pursuits, RFPs, and client interviews, and demonstrated collaboration with business development.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently, self-starter and able to multitask workload to meet deadlines.

This role would be located in Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Sacramento, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Boston, or Washington, DC.

 

Salary information:

 

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $109,000 - $138,800 (adjustments made for geography) depending on qualifications and experience.
