Overview:

HGA has an excellent position for an aspiring Design Coordinator with a passion for design to reside in our San Jose office, advancing HGA’s commitment to innovation and design excellence and will be part of our interior design practice group.

In this role you will:

  1. Develops concepts according to parameters defined by Project Manager or Project Architect . Produces construction documents in Revit, including plans, sections and details
  2. Assists with quality control for the design function and integrates and coordinates all disciplines into the building project
  3. Maintains ongoing communication to understand any project changes, design issues or time/budget constraints that may impact initial assignment
  4. Interacts and communicates effectively and professionally with other team members
  5. Utilizes past knowledge and experience to enhance the quality of product, recognizes problem issues, communicates impact to team and seeks clarity when necessary
  6. Assures execution of and assists with quality control activities for architectural elements on a project
  7. Reviews drawings, documents and submittals for document compliance and documenting code review and compliance
  8. Keeps lead architect or designated team leader informed of progress; recognizes problem issues and communicates impact to team, and seeks clarity when necessary
  9. Uses past experience and project knowledge to assist the Project Manager keeping in mind schedules/budgets and provides communication as appropriate with team leaders and/or team members who are responsible for work flow/timelines, etc.
  10. Meets project design schedule and design construction budgets
  11. Assists with cost estimates and evaluation of bids with project manager
  12. Assists with the preparation of analyses including alternates or substitutions to reduce costs

 

You will need to have:

  • Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Qualified candidates will have 2-5 years of experience with small to large scale projects
  • Strong 2D and 3D graphics skills are essential
  • Proficiency in Revit; AutoCAD preferred

 

 

Salary Information:

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $63,200 - $77,400
