Overview:

HGA is a leading architectural, engineering, interior design and planning firm with an excellent opportunity for a creative and talented interior designer with a passion for corporate interiors to join our Milwaukee office.

 

In this position, you will collaborate with other interior designers, architects and engineers.  As an emerging leader, you will be tasked with leading and collaborating on the development of the Interior Design efforts; performing all phases of the interior design process from marketing, programming and conceptual design development and documentation to construction administration. We are seeking a candidate that is a problem solver, has great organizational skills, and loves to drive a process forward.  As an interior designer in the corporate practice we are looking for someone that is passionate about bringing a company’s brand and culture to life through interior architecture.

In this role you will:

  • Work with Architectural and Interior Design teams to develop the interior design direction, translating programming requirements into design solutions
  • Support tenant improvement projects from programming, space planning, life safety drawings, finish selections, environmental graphics/branding, documentation, specification coordination, to construction administration 
  • Research materials and concepts to advise and direct design team on technical issues influencing interior design concept development
  • Collaborate and communicates effectively and professionally with multidisciplinary team members 
  • Coordinate the design work of others and ensures integrated and cohesive design
  • Work within project schedules to prioritize tasks and coordinate the completion of documentation required from initial design phase through final project completion
  • Coordinate with contractors, review material submittals and conduct on-site observations

You will need to have:

  1. Bachelor or Master's degree from an accredited Interior Design/Architecture program
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience with Corporate Interior Design
  3. Professional licensure and/or certification strongly desired; LEED AP encouraged.
  4. Fluent knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other graphic tools
  5. Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  6. Strong communication and presentation skills
  7. Ability to take initiative and work both in a team environment and as an individual
  8. Attention to detail, organization skills and an ability to manage multiple deadlines

Salary Information:

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $49,200 - 63,900.
