You’ll find teammates driven by curiosity and a heartfelt dedication to explore the bounds of traditional architecture and design through communication and collaboration.  This passionate and dedicated group of innovators partner with community clients to enhance the standard of business.  As a Medical Planner, you will create places that enhance all aspects of the patient experience.

In this role you will:

  • program and plan healthcare facilities and collaborate with user groups, departments, and hospital administration;
  • work with Principals in the development and analysis of the client’s building program to clearly communicate with the project team for all project phases;
  • work closely with doctors, nurses and other medical personnel to reach consensus on concepts to address space needs;
  • conduct research and analyses of space utilization, determine space requirements for expanding, and create solutions to meet evolving needs;
  • work closely with project managers, contractors and consultants to implement design concepts through project completion;
  • represent the Principal in maintaining positive client relationships;
  • contribute to and assist Principals, as appropriate, in the marketing of assigned projects including development of proposals and possible participation in client interview;
  • monitor the quality of drawings produced, coaching as appropriate;
  • keep current on new methodologies related to healthcare design, planning, sustainability, LEAN, and evidence-based design principles;
  • work with Healthcare Practice Group leaders in the development and implementation of annual goals and objectives; and
  • utilize expertise and shares knowledge with colleagues and mentors junior staff members on healthcare planning concepts.

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Master’s preferred
  • OSHPD experience required
  • LEED accreditation preferred
  • 7-10 years of mid- to large healthcare project experience and medical planning
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and other industry accepted software as well as expertise with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite products is needed

Salary Information:

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $ 110,800-133,200.
