Overview:

HGA has an exciting opportunity for a talented mechanical engineering graduate passionate about building design to work in our Rochester office on a variety of projects throughout the country. 

 

Be a part of an award winning, interdisciplinary design firm with architects, engineers, planners, lighting designers, landscape architects, and interior designers working together to create holistic designs for healthcare, the arts, community, education, corporations, government and district/campus energy clients.

In this role you will:

  1. Work under the guidance of the Project Engineer in the design and documentation of project solutions and construction documents with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and constructability
  2. Perform mechanical engineering design calculations.
  3. Research code issues and work with City, State and County officials.
  4. Analyze reports, drawings, tests, and other data to plan and design work.
  5. Interact and communicate effectively and professionally with other team members.
  6. Maintain, organize and archive all project related documents.
  7. Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

You will need to have:

  1. BS. degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  2. Ability to obtain PE registration in the near future
  3. A perfect position for new graduates, but one to five years’ experience is preferred
  4. Proficiency with Revit software and excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite essential
  5. Familiarity with mechanical analysis software (i.e., Trane Trace, IES-VE, manufacturer equipment selection software)
  6. Knowledge of current sustainable technologies applicable to mechanical systems design

Salary Information:

Hourly pay range: $24.86 - $31.44
