    Building technology engineering is a rapidly evolving industry segment. We are looking for professionals with strong aptitudes for systems thinking and interest in communications, networking, fire & life safety, security (physical and cyber), audio/visual, web-based technologies, and data analysis to help us design the buildings of the future.

     

    This position requires well organized work processes, good people skills, effective communications style in both team settings and user groups, and a passion for high-quality design.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

    1. Works under the guidance of the Project Engineer in the design of project solutions and construction documents with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and constructability.
    2. Performs Electrical engineering design calculations
    3. Researches code issues and works with City, State and County officials.
    4. Analyzes reports, drawings, tests, and other data to plan and design work.
    5. Interacts and communicates effectively and professionally with other team members
    6. Maintains, organizes and archives all project related documents
    7. Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned
    8. Use computer programs and modeling tools for complex engineering analysis and presentations.
    9. Contribute to department design standards and protocols.

      

    COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES) REQUIRED:

    Knowledge of current sustainable technologies applicable to design

    Qualifications

    Preferred candidates will have:

    • Technical or B.S. degree in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering
    • Ability to obtain PE registration in the near future if degree is from an ABET accredited program is a plus
    • Two to five years’ experience is preferred, but will consider other ranges
    • Proficiency with Revit software and excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite essential
