    1. Ability to plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate Technology engineering work.
    2. Makes calculations, using engineering formulas and skills for Technology designs such as equipment room sizing, pathway requirements, system storage and server processing requirements, materials assessing site conditions.
      • Production of design documentation including drawings, sketches and system schematics for complicated design tasks such as layout of equipment rooms and system connectivity.
      • Create written reports that clearly communicate complex engineering concepts and translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
      • Produce final punch list.
      • Document existing conditions and perform complex and detailed troubleshooting.
      • Prepare addendum and updates to design documents
    3. Resolves a variety of complex problems, i.e. conflicting design requirements, suitability of conventional materials, difficult condition requirements.
    4. Coordinate project design requirements with the internal and external design team members and document the findings.
    5. Research non-routine code issues and obtain interpretations from code officials.
    6. Use computer programs and modeling tools for complex engineering analysis and presentations.
    7. Contribute to department design standards and protocols.


    • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • Professional Engineer Registration preferred.
    • BICSI RCDD certification preferred.
    • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in the design of Low Voltage Systems including Telecommunications Infrastructure, Security Systems—Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion/Duress, Audio/Video Systems, Digital Signage and Paging/Sound Masking Systems for medical, commercial and/or industrial project types.
    • Healthcare experience preferred.
    • Candidate must demonstrate an innovative approach to problem solving that is responsive to industry trends.
    • Knowledge of current technology applicable to Technology, IEEE, EIA/TIA and BICSI requirements and all applicable codes (city, state, federal) as well as knowledge of National Fire Protection Association/National Electrical Code (NFPA/NEC) Standards are essential.
    • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suites.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
