  • Overview

    The Contracts Administrator is responsible for contract activity that is of moderate to high risk to HGA. The role facilitates the contracting system process and ensures all contracting issues are addressed and resolved in an efficient and accurate manner.  The role is critical to the smooth interactions of the Operations, Finance and Management teams and it requires the utmost in professionalism, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to work well with others.

    Responsibilities

    • Works with multiple project managers and legal staff within the firm to develop all materials and supporting documents for the contracting process.
    • Prepares draft scopes of services and other contract documents.
    • Follows up on action items as the result of negotiations and legal review.
    • Transmit and track contract documents submitted to our clients and consultants from initiation through final execution.
    • Works with project managers and clients to fully execute and/or amend contract document

    Qualifications

    We are seeking individuals with the following skills and abilities:

     

    • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate or 5 years’ experience as a contract administrator
    • Excellent reading and writing skills
    • Independent, critical thinking skills including the ability to analyze and resolve problems with minimal guidance
    • Ability to continually grow knowledge base and skill set in order to synthesize and apply information learned
    • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential/proprietary information
    • High level of organizational skills with detail orientation
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment
    • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal management oversight
    • Excellent professional interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical terms to others

    Preferred candidates will have:

    • Experience in architecture, engineering or construction fields
    • Knowledge of AIA contract software
    • Strong math skills
