  • Overview

    Provides technical support on a daily basis responding to user’s needs, office growth and changes, and maintains communication with the Help Desk West Manager and the Help Desk Team firmwide that is timely, on-going and with an accurate representation of the location’s activities.


    1. Technical support of IT infrastructure
      1. Assists with the creation of software images for the setup of PC’s and also for troubleshooting of PCs.
      2. Performs installations, change-outs of hardware/software and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, scanners, disk drives for users upon request or as needed
      3. Utilizes technical knowledge to assist with the repair existing network topologies following IT procedures and methods and ensures procedures are in compliance with codes, regulations and standards.
    2. Training and Reporting
      1. Understands the importance of overall accountability and provides reports, verbal and/or written updates as requested.
      2. Assists with the on-going and open line of communication with the local Office Director so that all parties are mutually informed of issues, changes, short and long-range plans is it relates to equipment and processes.
      3. Provides technical assistance, trouble shooting and limited training to all users as needed in a timely, courteous manner and solicits support, problem resolution from Help Desk Team when needed.
    3. Processes, Procedures and Collaboration
      1. Provides first line contact regarding all software, specifically CAD and AEC software, Microsoft Office, O365, Adobe products and solving basic/general problems.
      2. Participate and coordinate other issues to appropriate contacts in the firm, such as working with infrastructure issues on servers, LANs and WANs, and local Network Area Storage.
      3. Assists with the implementation of security of systems and maintains integrity to include performing backups and recoveries of data, and periodically scrutinizing e-mail usage keeping in mind functionality, policies and procedures.
    4. Other duties or responsibilities as assigned


    • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. (A combination of formal education, technical training, certification, and/or experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities may be substituted for the degree requirement.
    • One to three years’ experience in LAN systems & implementation (education can substitute)
    • Local environment experience with the following (CAE/CAD, MS-DOS, IOS, OS, Windows 7, Win 10
    • Willing to work a flexible schedule (off-hours support or implementation projects)
