    HGA is an award winning architectural, engineering and planning firm seeking a Digital Design Coordinator who will work directly with HGA’s firm-wide digital practice design team to assist in the continued promotion and development of digital design (BIM) throughout our Architectural and Engineering practice.  This role provides on-going training, user support, troubleshooting, and content creation/development for both of our San Jose and San Francisco offices on a regular basis, and works with our digital practice design coordinators and project teams in all of HGA’s offices. In addition, the individual may serve as a production leader and will participate directly in the production of the Architectural, Structural and MEP models on active projects.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    1. Assists with BIM strategic direction and develops technical plans, protocols and workflows for continued implementation
    2. Provides continuing quality assurance with project teams to maintain BIM quality and standards, ensures adherence to BIM plans and firm-wide modeling and information standards and maintains continuity of information across multiple applications
    3. Provides general setup, configuration and customization of standard design and production applications
    4. Provides regular support to BIM representatives in the various HGA offices including technical design, investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions
    5. Assists in training and provides technical support for HGA staff, both one-on-one and in group class setting
    6. Maintains and updates current HGA standards, documentation, templates and content
    7. Interfaces with external support resources
    8. Handles customization, trouble shooting and product testing
    9. Serves as production/technical support on assigned projects if needed

    Qualifications

    Preferred candidates will have the following:

    • An architectural or engineering degree
    • Professionally certified in Revit
    • Minimum of five years’ relevant experience

     

    Experience with BIM on education, healthcare, corporate and government building types is an asset.  Advanced knowledge and use of Revit, Navisworks or other related software and intermediate knowledge and use of AutoCAD, Rhino, 3D Studio Max, Adobe Creative Suite, IES and Microsoft Office products are needed.  A demonstrated understanding of project workflows from design to construction administration, building from knowledge of industry standards, workflows and data formats is key.

     

    This position is based in either our San Jose or San Francisco office, and will involve occasional travel to other HGA offices.
